Fancy a glorious day out visiting some of the finest gardens in Farringdon, then make sure you are in the Village on the afternoon of Sunday 7th of June when, for just £3.00 per adult (free car parking & no charge for children) you can visit all ten gardens open this year. All proceeds wil be donated to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance

Gardens are open from 2.00 to 6.00 PM and Cream Teas will be available (see garden map for location) in three of the Gardens or the two local hostelries, The Pheasant on the A32 and the Rose and Crown at the eastern end of The Street, will welcome those who mught prefer a Sunday Lunch before a pleasant stroll around the the village or indeed provide alternative fortifying beverages during your visit. (Booking is advised for Sunday Lunches)

(Please Note: Dogs are not admitted to the gardens so leave your pet at home please - Guide Dogs excepted)

Malt House

Although much smaller than many of the gardens on display, this garden has made full use of the varying levels to provide wealth of interest for visitors. (Because of the nature of this garden there is very limited access for wheelchairs)

The herbaceous border has been a feature of this garden for over fifty years

Cruck Cottage

Probably the oldest house in the village, the name derives from the early curved vee timber frame construction. Behind the house is a pleasant and long established garden with a pond and a number of interesting features.

Berry Cottage

A small and secluded cottage garden with a large variety of hardy perennials a fish pond, sink gardens with a variety of shrubs and trees.

Upper Farringdon House

An acre of formal gardens with shrubs, herbaceous perennials and annuals, a pottager with fruit , vegetables and herbs with a ha-ha forming the border on the east side.

Brownings Orchard

The two acre garden has been established over many years by the owners, and undoubtedly the star of the Farringdon Garden Circuit.
There are shrubs, lawns herbaceous borders, a small kitchen garden and a woodland walk with paved and rock features.

Down Lodge

A large garden with lawns, shrubs, attractive ponds and a woodland walk. A haven for birds.
