Wednesday 29th - Farringdon Horticultural Society (Members Only) - Afternoon Visit to Winchester College Gardens – It is anticipated the visit will last from 11/2 to 2 hours - Numbers are limited to 20 people - This will be a private visit, escorted by Alex Roe, who will meet us in the field beside New Hall at 2:00 pm - To book your place on this special trip, please contact : Chrys Browne, Chris Bohringer or Sheila

Saturday 1st - Village Coffee Morning - 10:00 to 11:30 am in All Saints Church

Saturday 8th - Farringdon Horticultural Society - Gardening Event at Berry Cottage – 10:30- 12:30 am
11:00 Talk by Phyll Watts - Hints and tips for display - Come along to get some first hand tips about the best way to exhibit your flowers and produce at the FHS Summer Show on 10th August
ALSO Plants for sale – courtesy of Two Acres Nursery, Four Marks and Sally and Martin Burr
Bring your seeds and plants along to swap - Refreshments will be served throughout the morning. .

The annual tennis tournament will be held on courts around the village and is open to players of any standard. It is a relaxed, informal afternoon of tennis and we would welcome as many players as possible and especially any new players. The matches will start at 2.00 pm and the finals will be played at 4.00 pm at Manor House by kind permission of Simon and Melanie Shaw and everyone is invited to tea. Entry is £10.00 per player to include tea – donations of cakes and sandwiches will be much appreciated and all profits go to the Over 60s Christmas Dinner. Please ensure that we receive your entry fee by 26th August in order to secure your place in what is always an enjoyable tournament. Email addresses below.
