Farringdon Village Hall, Church Road, Upper Farringdon, Hampshire, GU34 3 EG comprised in a Conveyance dated 1ST April 1958 between the official trustee of charity lands (1) and Charles George Elton Burgess and Others (2).
Trust Deed dated 23rd March 1960 as amended by the Charity Commission Order dated 7th April 2006 and as further amended by resolution dated 29th November 2006 and as further amended by resolution dated 25th April 2012
The Charity Trustee pursuant to the Governing Documents with specific reference to Clause 21 of the Trust Deed dated 23rd March, 1960 hereby gives notice to the inhabitants of the Village of Farringdon and surrounding villages of:
A Meeting was held at 8:00 p.m. on 26th February 2014 in Farringdon Village Hall
The Meeting authorised, by a simple majority of those present at the meeting and eligible to vote, discontinuance of the use of the Property for the charitable objects of the Charity with a view to the disposal of the same by sale.
Please note that Section 121(2) of the Charities Act, 2011 (“”) shall not apply to the proposed disposal by virtue of a direction of the Charity Commission dated 25th September 2013 under the power given in Section 121(6) of the Charities Act, 2011

Annual General Meeting
Held in the Village Hall on Wednesday April 25th 2013 at 8:00 p.m.
At the Annual General Meeting the New Administrative Provisions were unanimously adopted in place of the previous Administrative Provisions.
Therefore the Farringdon Parish Council, having consented so to act, has been unanimously appointed as the sole trustee of the Charity; and all other trustees of the Charity have ceased to be trustees of the Charity.
